Sankara Jayanthi celebrated at Srimatam

Sankara Jayanthi was celebrated at Sri Kanchi Kamakoti Peetam Sankara Matam, Kanchipuram. The programme commenced on the 14th May 2010 and on 18th, the Jayanthi Day(today), Rudrabhishekam was performed to Sri Adi Sankara. Veda Parayana, Sankara Bhashya parayanam, bhajans, slokas and discourses were rendered on the occasion. Sri Sankaravijayam Avatara Ghatta Parayanam was performed at Sri Mahaswami's Adhishtanam in the presence of His Holiness Sri Sankara Vijayendra Saraswathi Swamiji. Bheeja dhaanam was peformed. Large number of devotees participated in the various events and received the Blessings of Acharya Swamiji. Prasadam was distributed.
